Terms of Service

Service and licence

AyaScope is licensed, not sold. Use of the desktop application is also governed by the EULA presented by the installer. Paid plans are annual, machine-bound subscriptions. One purchased seat provides one key for one registered computer. Team plans provide the stated number of separately tracked machine keys.

Trial and Free edition

An eligible new machine may receive one seven-day Premium trial. Reinstallation, account changes or repeated requests do not create a new trial. When the trial or subscription ends, Premium functions are disabled and the application switches to the available Free feature set; local customer data is not intentionally deleted.

Billing and renewal

Stripe processes checkout. Prices are in US dollars unless Checkout shows otherwise. Taxes may be added. A subscription renews annually until cancelled through the billing method made available to you or by contacting us before renewal. Cancellation stops future renewal and normally leaves access active through the paid term. Refunds follow the published Refund Policy and mandatory consumer law.

Scientific responsibility

AyaScope assists microscopy and electrochemical analysis; it does not replace calibration standards, instrument qualification, expert review or laboratory quality systems. Automatic segmentation, indexing, quantification and phase candidates must be reviewed against source data and appropriate controls. You are responsible for research conclusions, regulated use, safety-critical decisions and publication claims.

Acceptable use

You may not share a machine-bound key across devices, bypass access controls, attack the service, upload malware, interfere with other users, or use the service unlawfully. Interoperable third-party plugins are separate software selected and installed by the user under their own licences and terms.

Availability, warranties and liability

We aim to keep downloads, activation and updates available but do not promise uninterrupted service. To the maximum extent allowed by law, the service is provided without implied warranties not expressly stated, and indirect or consequential damages are excluded. Liability that cannot legally be excluded remains unaffected; mandatory consumer rights always prevail.

Changes, termination and law

We may make reasonable service or security changes and will give notice of material subscription changes where required. We may suspend fraudulent or abusive use. These terms are governed by Florida law, without overriding mandatory protections of the customer’s home jurisdiction. Disputes may be brought in a court of competent jurisdiction in Florida unless applicable consumer law provides otherwise.
